Gallatin Artisan Crawl to return

A new take on the “art crawl” recently launched in Gallatin, and will be making a return this July.

The Gallatin Artisan Crawl is an event put together by TD Gallery in association with other spaces that aims to offer residents a convenient spot to see the area’s artists and artisans. The events started this past fall and had its most recent occasion on May 13. The previous Artisan Crawl saw five participating locations and featured the Inside Out Market; Mercantile on the Square; Stone Harmony; and Every Era, Old and New. Among other items, the crawl displayed paintings and other wall art from creators like H. Frank Edwards, Toby Delk, and Ann Young.

The upcoming Artisan Crawl will feature different art and other handmade creations. Items on sale at past events ranged from jewelry, to floral arrangements, to collectible Posters. The event is a play on the “art crawl” concept that aims to provide a walkable experience between multiple locations to highlight a city or area’s artistic scene. These events, often promoted through flyer printing and Signs in participating businesses, have become popular across North America. Gallatin’s Artisan Crawl is sponsored by the city’s Chamber of Commerce and aims to encompass a wider variety of crafts.

The next edition of Gallatin Artisan Crawl will take place on the evening of July 8, and includes TD Gallery and other Gallatin businesses
