Chicken salad chain comes to Gallatin

Chicken Salad Chick, a fast food franchise specializing in chicken salad, has opened its first restaurant in Gallatin.

The new restaurant includes a drive-thru and indoor dining space. Chicken Salad Chick’s menu includes a number of different types of salads, from savory options like Lauryn’s Lemon Basil to the spicy Kickin’ Kay Lynne.

The restaurant also offers sandwiches, soups, and other types of sides. The location is part of the brand’s expansions into Tennessee, which has included 18 previous restaurants in the state and five in the greater Nashville area. The chain was founded by Stacy Brown, the eponymous Chicken Salad Chick, and currently consists of over 200 restaurants across 17 states.

The Gallatin restaurant held a grand opening to celebrate opening its doors. The opening day included a “free chicken salad for a year” promotion where the first 100 guests would receive one large order a month for free for the following year, with one randomly selected for a free meal a week. This was just one of several opening-week deals designed to get people in the door. New restaurants often use sales like these, as well as tools like flyer printing and local media advertisements, to win over diners.

Chicken Salad Chick officially opened its Gallatin location on Tuesday, January 18, and it plans to be open from Monday to Saturday at 1117 Nashville Pike.
