Pottery delivers creativity to brewery near Johnston

A sculpting class will team up with a local brewery for a sip and sculpt event, and Johnston residents are encouraged to attend for a fun and creative afternoon.

The Sip and Sculpt Pottery Class, which is being organized by Pottery With a Purpose, will begin welcoming registered guests next month for an immersive and fun art experience. The event instructor will guide students through the ins and outs of sculpting and decorating functional pottery pieces like hanging planters, pots, and vases.

Participants are encouraged to grab a drink from the host venue before diving into the beginner-friendly and inclusive pottery workshop. Students will learn the basics, receive step-by-step instructions, and learn to build a pinch pot. Brochure printing can help the learning process for attendees who learn better through written instructions and images.

The workshop will last two hours, and all participants will get to take home what they create at the event. It is expected that students will complete up to two pieces during the allotted time. All supplies will be included in the Beginner Pottery Kit, which the enrollment cost covers. A trivia session with prizes will also be held.

Providence Brewing Company will host the pottery sip and sculpt workshop on Sunday, May 4th, starting at 1:00 PM. Registration is open online for $82 per student.
