Rondeau's Kickboxing will organize a fundraising activity in Johnston to assist others in the community.
Fight Club - Heavy Bag Competition is a charitable program where fighters can try to earn the best score while supporting a good cause. The contest is open to all levels of competitors, and there will be divisions for kids and adults. The current high score for the competition is 42,460, which was set by Ron Mayorga. Those who score the highest in their age and gender categories will receive a trophy, and the two runner-ups will earn a medal for their efforts.
The cause benefiting from the heavy bag competition is Knockout Wishes, a program started by Rondeau's Kickboxing in hopes of making a difference in the lives of good people. A few of the wishes granted by the project include purchasing an elliptical, funding an aquarium excursion, and assisting with medical bills. The kickboxing studio holds many events to support Knockout Wishes, such as the Fight Like a Girl 5K and Kick-a-thons.
The bag competition will take place on Saturday, December 3 and will begin at noon. Tickets to participate in the studio's contest cost $20 per person. Those interested in supporting Knockout Wishes can purchase a T-shirt from the organization or help volunteer during its upcoming activities. Groups behind charitable causes like this may add a custom Logo Design to their volunteer's shirts to make them easily identifiable during events.
