Johnston group to bowl for animals

Events Gone Wild will organize a bowling activity in Johnston to benefit a local wildlife group.

Bowling for Animals is an event where people can show their support for pets and native wildlife by participating in multiple rounds of duck pin bowling. A portion of the funds raised by the bowling activity will benefit Defenders of Animals, a group founded by Dennis Tabella and Patricia A. Tabella. The organization supports spaying and neutering clinics, advocates for animals, and helps find homes for pets.

Events Gone Wild is a group on Meetup founded by Maureen and Rich. The club is comprised of people who are looking to meet new friends in their area and take part in group activities. Past events held by the organization include group picnics, potluck socials, and holiday celebrations. Those interested in Events Gone Wild can become a member for $5 per year. The group covers the Greater New England area, including states such as Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

The bowling session will be held on Sunday, November 13th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The cost is $20 per person, which includes the price of shoe rentals, pizza, and soda. People who wish to join Defenders of Animals may pay $25 for a standard membership.
