The Mustang Car Club of New England (MCCNE) will be holding a car show in Johnston to benefit a local organization.
The MCCNE All Wheels Car Show is an experience where automobile enthusiasts can see foreign and domestic vehicles. Those with impressive cars may enter the event to win trophies from the organizer. Each vehicle will be judged by the club on factors like cleanliness, workmanship, and condition. People who wish to participate in the show must pay $20 to register and bring a fire extinguisher for their cars. Vendors may set up booths at the event in exchange for a charitable donation.
The organization that will benefit from the car show is Operation Stand Down Rhode Island (OSDRI). The non-profit group provides resources to at-risk and homeless veterans, such as legal services, employment training programs, and transitional housing. Now headquartered here in Johnston, the organization was created in 1993. The goal of the non-profit is to end the cycle of veteran homelessness.
The car show will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is no cost for spectators to visit the MCCNE’s event. Those who want to register their cars for the fundraiser must do so by noon on the day of the event. Clubs that in charge of similar community events may use banner printing to raise awareness for their programs and causes.
