Holiday craft show to attract visitors from all over the valley

The 22nd Christmas in the Valley event is happening over three days in late November. Proceeds from the event will go to the Swamp Meadow Community Theatre and a scholarship for a local high school senior who will be studying the arts.

The main draw of the event is a juried arts and crafts show and sale. Participants will be selling a variety of goods, including homemade honey products, embroidery, glassblowing artworks, toys, jewelry, and handmade candles.

There will also be music from such performers as the Panaganet Middle School Band and Atwater and Donnelly, along with a raffle and songs from Victorian carolers. Food and drink will be available to buy, and Santa Claus will be on hand to pose for pictures and find out what kids want for Christmas.

Visitors who bring a nonperishable food item for the local food bank will receive a free raffle ticket.

People from all over the area, including Johnston, will surely look forward to taking a ride out into the country to attend this event and possible pick up some holiday gifts. It may be advertised with Flyers provided by local Print companies.

The Christmas in the Valley celebration will be held at the Foster Country Club from November 28 to 30. To find out more about the day's events, call 401-595-2098.
