Event pair to offer business boost

There are two very different events coming up this November in the Johnston area, but both will help to showcase local businesses.

First of all, the Taste of North Central is hosted by the North Central Chamber of Commerce. Participants will be shuttled to various restaurants to sample a variety of their dishes, offering a networking opportunity for both the eateries and the partaking local businesspeople.

Later on in the month, the Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is hosting a Craft Fair and Bazaar. It is set to feature a variety of arts and crafts and local small manufacturers selling their wares. Tables are available for $25 each.

Both of these events should appeal to those who wish to support local business in the Johnston area. Printing companies may be asked to help design and Print advertising materials to be distributed locally, with flyer printing likely to be a prevalent request.

The Taste of North Central is being held on November 6 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $15 for seniors. Contact Kelly Patz at 401-349-4574 for more information.

The Craft Fair and Bazaar is following it at the Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilitiation Center on November 15 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Admission is free. Call Lina Lehany at 401-231-2700 to learn more or to become a vendor.
