Irish festival to return to downtown Stroudsburg

The Pocono Irish American Club (PIAC) is holding its 5th Annual Irish American Festival in downtown Stroudsburg this September.

The festival is free to attend and will feature music, dancing, food, beer, general vendors, sellers of Irish products and kids’ entertainment. Activities will include a dunk tank, balloon artist and face painter. More information about the specific vendors will be available on PIAC’s website closer to the festival date.

The music lineup features a variety of Irish and Celtic-inspired bands. Kilmaine Saints started in Harrisburg and promises a high-energy Celtic rock performance. Glengarry Bhoys combines Scottish and Irish influences with modern sound and has performed across the U.S. and Canada. Philadelphia-based Barleyjuice’s fans expect an irreverent show with a rebellious attitude combined with guitars, bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and storytelling.

PIAC is still accepting vendor applications. Artists, crafters, retail businesses and food trucks can apply on PIAC’s website. Fees range from $100 to $200, depending on the size and type of business. Sponsorships are also available with packages including digital displays, social media ads, and TV and radio ads, depending on the tier. Interested businesses can sign up online. Sponsors often give out Promotional Products at such festivals.

The Pocono Irish American Festival will take place on Saturday, September 6, from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm in Courthouse Square in Stroudsburg.
