Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm’s annual Farm Animal Frolic is taking place in Stroudsburg this May.
The event happens over two weekends and offers several ways for attendees to see and learn about the different animals on the farm, especially the baby animals that were born earlier in the spring. These include bunnies, sheep, goats, and piglets. Attendees can also watch chicks hatch and meet two of the farm’s working horses. Kids can play traditional games and attend a show. There will also be plants and vintage collectibles available for sale. Food will be served in the refreshments tent.
A sheep shearing demonstration will start at 10:30 am on the first Saturday of the event, May 17. After this, attendees can watch spinners and weavers turn some of the fleece into a shawl that will be raffled off during the farm’s Christmas celebration.
Tickets can only be purchased at the gate with either cash or cards. The cost is $18 for adults and teens, $10 for kids aged three to twelve, and free for kids under three. Educational sites often use brochure printing services to share information about their history and programs.
The Farm Animal Frolic will take place on the weekends of May 17 to 18 and May 24 to 25, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Quiet Valley Farm in Stroudsburg.
