Fusia Community Arts is hosting its third annual fundraising gala in Stroudsburg this summer.
The Giving Gala will feature the debut of the organization’s latest dance performance, “The Giving Tree,” which is inspired by Shel Silverstein’s children’s book. The work tells the story through a combination of dance, acting, and American Sign Language. The performers are from Fusia’s Pre-Professional Youth Company, the Drye/Marinaro Dance Company, and the IN2YOUARTS Act 2 Theater Company. After “The Giving Tree,” there will be additional dance and music performances throughout the evening.
The event will also include food from the Cinder Inn, dessert, an auction, a 50/50 raffle, and a scavenger hunt through the theater, which will be decorated with a forest theme. Organizations often use brochure printing services to share information about their programs during fundraisers. Tickets are available through Eventbrite and cost $55.20 per person, which includes fees.
Fusia Center for the Arts is a dance school that offers a mix of recreational and pre-professional classes for ages two and up. The instructors work to create a healthy and comfortable environment for students. The school also has a partnership with a professional company in New York City, where it sends talented alumni.
The Giving Gala will take place on Friday, August 15 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg.
