The Pocono Irish American Club (PIAC) is holding its 6th Annual Irish American Festival in Stroudsburg in September.
The festival is free to attend and will include live music, activities for kids and vendors selling Irish goods and other items. Food will be available from vendors, along with drinks including wine, beer, and cocktails from a full bar. Other entertainment will include a dunk tank and face painting. The PIAC will announce the music lineup soon.
The vendor application is open, priced at $200 for food trucks, $150 for most vendors, $100 for independent crafters or one-person businesses, and free for nonprofits. This includes promotion in pre-festival social media and radio ads. The PIAC is also putting together an event map listing all the vendors. Event planners often use printing services to make this type of map. Businesses can also sign up as festival sponsors.
The PIAC was founded in 1978 to promote Irish culture in the region. It has run an annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade since its founding and launched the September festival more recently. In addition to these key public events, the group meets monthly and hosts fundraisers to cover parade expenses and support community organizations.
The PIAC 6th Annual Irish American Festival will be on Saturday, September 12 in Stroudsburg’s Courthouse Square. Doors will open at 11:30 am.
