The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is hosting EMPOWER, a women’s leadership conference, in the Pocono region this spring.
The event will include breakfast and lunch keynote speeches, smaller breakout talks, networking sessions, and studio fitness classes. Conference attendees often exchange Business Cards during networking events. Participants can choose from four tracks focusing on professional development, personal development, leadership, and panel discussions. They can also attend different sessions from different tracks. Breakout sessions are first come, first served and cannot be reserved in advance. There will also be a vendor expo space. The full schedule is available online.
Registration is open on the Scranton Chamber’s website. The cost is $399 per member of the Scranton Chamber and $499 per non-member. The conference is open to any women in the region, including residents of Stroudsburg and other towns in the Poconos. There will be a teen track, so students ages 16 to 18 are welcome to attend as well.
Attendees can wear any type of attire they would like, but the organizers recommend comfortable shoes. Breakfast and lunch are included. A room block is available at Kalahari Resorts for those interested in staying over the night before or after the conference.
EMPOWER, The Leadership Experience will take place on Thursday, April 24 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center.
