The inaugural Forty Fort Cemetery 5k/10k and Walk Through History will take place in mid-September.
The event will be a race followed by a 1.5 mile 45-minute leisurely walk and ending with a walking tour led by local historians through the Forty Fort Cemetery and meeting house. The race start/finish line will be at the cemetery entrance at 20 River Street, Forty Fort.
Everyone here in Kingston is invited to stick around after the runs and walk to enjoy music, drinks and food.
Pre-registration for the 10k will be $40 and $30 for the 5k, and registration on race day will be $45 for the 10k and $35 for the 5k. Same day registration will begin at 7:30 am and will be done by using express QR code only.
Proceeds from the event will go to preservation of the Forty Fort cemetery and meeting house.
Those who pre-register until August 31st will be guaranteed event t-shirts sporting the event's graphic design. After that, event t-shirts will be available on the event's online swag store. Event medals will go to all participants.
Pre-race packets will be available from 4:00 to 6:30 pm Thursday September 12th and Friday, September 13th at Valley Running, 900 Avenue, Kingston.
Both the 5k and the 10k will begin at 9:00 am. The 2024 The Forty Fort Cemetery Inaugural 5k and 10k races will take place September 14th.
