Many art aficionados here in Kingston will be attending the Fine Arts Fiesta 2026 Platinum Jubilee coming in mid-May.
A 70th Anniversary Gala, a harbinger of the festival, will include hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails and savory stations. Music for the evening will be provided by Eddie Day and TNT. Tickets are $170.
The Fine Arts Fiesta 70th Anniversary Gala will take place from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday, May 9th at Westmoreland Club Grande Hall, 59 S Franklin Street Wilkes-Barre.
In keeping with the festival's 70 anniversary, the theme for this year's fiesta will be "70 Trips around the Square". This year's art installations and selfie displays will reflect the theme and have a modern art flair.
Over 50 artists from around the region will be displaying and selling their works at the Artists' Market. Both adult and student art exhibits will be juried. Fiesta food vendors will be selling appropriate goodies and there will be live entertainment.
Vendors and artists at events like this often have special custom Business Cards printed at nearby Print shops beforehand.
As part of the festival festivities, on May 15th starting at 5:30 pm the F. M. Kirby Center will present local dance groups. Some of these will be Ballet Center at Wilkes University, Joan Harris Centre, Dance Theater of Wilkes-Barre and the Emerald Isle Step Dancers.
The Fine Arts Fiesta 2026 will take place from May 14th through the 17th in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
