The 3rd Annual Rockin’ the River concert series will be back this year for three Fridays in July.
The free event will open at 5:00 pm with food and beverages available for purchase from food trucks including Geraldo’s Fresh Baked Pizza, Webby’s Concessions, Udder Delites and Boyer Brothers BBQ. Other foodie goodies will be offered by Tony Thomas Catering, Eat it Up and Yogi’s Potato Pancakes.
At 6:00 pm the concerts will begin along the Susquehanna River.
On Friday there will be three performances for the evening. One will be given by Bill Brazill, and another will be an Elton John tribute band – Philadelphia Freedom. Philadelphia Freedom features a show that strives to be close to Elton John’s vision as possible. Alex Shillo will present a Bruce Springsteen tribute. Alex is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who loves playing “The Boss” music.
The following Friday on July 23rd, guests will be treated to singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist- Bret Alexander, and The Tom Petty Appreciation Band.
The last evening in the Rockin’ the River concert series will feature Fife and Drom and the Nude Party.
To show their support, Kingston fans of bands and artists such as these often bring and wear promotional items such as drink cozies, hats, tee shirts and headbands sporting the group’s graphic design or Logo Design.
Rockin’ the River will take place in Downtowm Wilkes-Barre at the River Common at Millennium Circle, 92 N. River St. Wilkes Barre.
