People flocking to the 7th Annual Edwardsville Pierogi Festival in mid-June.
The free two-day event will feature plenty of deep fried potato patties provided by 10 local churches and businesses, along with other culinary delights such as pudding, donuts, hot dogs, desserts, BBQ, and nuts from 10 other vendors. Kingston kids can participate in activities and games.
Entertainment scheduled for Friday begins with bands and vocalists supplied by George Rittenhouse Entertainment. They will be followed by children’s groups until 1:30 pm when Non Stop Duo takes the stage. At 4:00 pm, the John Stevens Polka Band takes the stage and will be followed at 8:00 pm by Flaxy Morgan.
The festival parade will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday. That will be followed by The Frost Duo at noon. The fun will continue with the Pierogi Cook-off at 2:00 pm when Frank Westawski, and his accordion will entertain the crowd.
Spider Jelly will take over the entertainment at 3:00 pm, and the final band will be Bad Liars beginning at 7:00 pm.

The 7th Annual Edwardsville Pierogi Festival will take place in John Hopkins Memorial Park on High Street in Edwardsville Friday, June 11 from noon until 10:00 pm, and Saturday, June 12 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm.
