Music nostalgia comes to F.M. Kirby Center

The F.M. Kirby Center will be presenting two evenings of musical nostalgia in September. One will be a night of doo wop and the other music of the 60s.

On Saturday September 11th Joe Nardone will present his second volume of Doo Wop Legends “Oh What a Night.”

Jay and the Americans will headline the evening with golden oldies such as “She Cried”, “Only in America” and “This Magic Moment.” Lou Christie will belt out his “Lighting Strikes”, “Two Faces Have I”, and I’m Gonna Make You Mine.”

Pennsylvania’s own Brian Hyland with his hits such as “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini” and “Sealed with a Kiss and Gary Bonds with his “Quarter to Three” and “School is Out” will round out the evening.

This evening of doo wop will be Saturday, September 11th starting at 7:00 pm.

A week later on Saturday, September 18th Edd Raineri will present “A 60’s Spectacular”. Headliners will be The Yardbirds (“Heart Full of Soul”, “For Your Love”, “Shapes of Things”), Janis Joplin’s first band- Big Brother & the Holding Company (Piece of My Heart”, “Summertime”, “Down on Me”) and Peter Asher (Peter and Gordon) & Jeremy Clyde (Chad and Jeremy). The performance will start at 7:30 pm.
