Monster trucks coming to town

For those in Kingston who enjoy a good monster truck rally, there is one coming up in the next few days.

Monster Jam, the world famous monster truck series, is about to wheel into the area.

The show will be presented in three main segments: the first will be the all-access pit party, the second will be the main event the race, and the freestyle competitions will rap things up. Some trucks featured in this event will be the infamous Grave Digger, the Predator, Midnight Rider, Prowler, Lone Eagle, and the Stinger.

The truck extravaganza will include the Party in the Pits. This will be an opportunity for fans to meet the drivers and get a close-up view of the 12 feet tall, 12 feet wide trucks. Everyone will be required to have a ticket to the February 20 show, plus the $10 Party-in-the-Pits ticket to gain admittance to the truck area. This will be an opportunity for the parents to take pictures of their little ones with their driver heroes and trucks, and for local printing companies to develop into stylish pieces.

The show will be presented four times. It is scheduled for tomorrow, February 19 (beginning at 7:30 pm), February 20 (at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm), and February 21 (at 2:00 pm) at the Mohegan Sun Arena at the Casey Plaza, Highland Park Boulevard, Wilke-Barre Township. Party in the Pits will be February 20 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. Adult tickets will start at $15 and kids’ tickets will start at $10.
