Locals get their fill of kielbasas

Individuals in and around Kingston can enjoy the Polish sausages known as kielbasas, along with other food, music, games, and activities.

The Plymouth Kielbasa Festival will have sausages, steak sandwiches, perogies, and plenty of sweet treats. Local restaurants will also be out offering items from their Menus.

Along with food, there will be live performances from a wide variety of musical genres. More than 100 vendors will be along the street selling food, arts and crafts, toys, and antiques.

Children can have their faces painted, or have a balloon animal made for them. There will also be games and other kid-friendly activities.

On the second day of the event, there will be a parade. Fire trucks, bands, street performers, and floats will entertain spectators.

Vendors and nonprofit organizations can apply to be part of the festival until July 31. It is likely that vendors have asked a digital business card printing service to make cards to pass out at the event.

The Kielbasa Festival will take place on August 14 from noon until 11:00 pm and August 15, from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm. The event will be held on Main Street, Route 11. Parking and entrance to the event is free.

A kielbasa contest will kick off on the second day at 1:00 pm at the American Legion Post 463, located on 33 Center Avenue. Awards will be distributed to the best kielbasas in several different categories.
