Local library holds two events

Osterhout Free Library will be holding a pair of events this fall.

Individual admission tickets for Osterhout Express, the library’s annual auction and gala, are $175, and $5000 cash raffle tickets are one for $20 and six for $100. The winning entry will be announced during the evening.

The highlight of the evening will be the introduction of Mr. Gus Genetti, this year’s Evergreen Honoree, and recognition of the chairs of the 2023 Annual Campaign, the Bartoli Family. Master of ceremonies will be from ABC’s WNEP-TV 16.

Osterhout Express will take place at Westmoreland Club, 59 S. Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre on Friday, September 8 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

The following month, the library is asking Kingston patrons to save Friday, October 6 for its 14th Annual Brewsterhout Rooftop Party.

General admission will be $30. Sponsorships are available at the $100 Pilsner Level, $500 Hops Level, $750 Lager Level, and $1000 Ale Level. Business Cards are likely to be included with the raffle basket donations.

The venue will have nine food vendors selling breads, hoagies, pizzas, donuts, nachos, tacos, cakes, cookies, cannoli, brownies, and chocolates. The special guests for the evening will be Eleventh Element Spa and DJ Josh Beatz.

The 14th Annual Brewsterhout Rooftop Party will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Intermodal Center Rooftop, 47 S. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre.
