Patrons of the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts will be heading to the Center's 7th annual F. M. Kirby Fest coming toward the end of April.
Sponsored by Metro, the 3-hour "Night of Pints, Pinot and Performing Arts" will include wine, beer, cider and spirits from local brewing, vineyards, and coffeehouses, food tastings from local catering and culinary establishments, and desserts and chocolates from local bakeries and chocolatiers. Each guest will also receive a Kirby Fest tasting glass.
Other activities will include art displays from local artists such as Art of Alan and Lois Pluskey Fine Art, live entertainment, and a silent auction of items signed by stars who have performed at the Kirby, which is local to Kingston residents being based in Wilkes-Barre.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Kirby Center's children's programming, allowing kids to attend events free of charge and supporting accessible community outreach art initiatives.
Admission will be $30 for Kirby members, $35 for non-members who purchase their tickets early, and $40 on event day. Sponsorships are also available at levels ranging from $250 to $10,000.
Patrons that support charity events like this often donate items to the silent auctions. These items often come with the patron's Business Cards.
Kirby Fest will take place Saturday, April 26 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre.
