Kingston goes to charity carnival

Youth MOVE PA is presenting its 5th Annual Wellness Days Carnival Edition here in the Kingston area in mid-July.

Attendees can look forward to face painting, balloon art, a bounce house, food trucks, and arts and crafts. First responders will be on hand, meeting and greeting everyone, and local community members will be manning resource booths.

Community resource programs often get brochure printing done before these events in order to have information pamphlets available for passersby.

The event will open at 10:30 am with registration. Opening announcements will begin at 11:30 am followed by a scavenger hunt, games, and vendor tables at 11:45 am.

This year's theme will be "Shatter the Stigma,” where youth speakers will discuss the stigma of mental illness and their personal stories from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Performer and entertainer Boston Bachert will then take the stage, followed by Zumba/Yoga by Mandie at 2:15 pm. A raffle prize drawing will take place at 2:45 pm and closing remarks will begin at 3:00 pm.

Poster printing at local Print shops can be useful for event organizers, who may distribute Posters around town a couple of weeks before the event.

The 5th Annual Wellness Days Carnival Edition will take place on Saturday, July 12 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Kirby Park, 160 Market Street, Wilkes-Barre. Admission and parking are free.
