St. Patrick’s Day activities traditionally include parade, and Kingston will get the chance to attend one or both of the ones scheduled for our area.
The first one will be in Wilkes-Barre and will be coming in a few days. Local organizations, community businesses and bands are busily getting their banner printing done, sprucing up their animals, decorating floats and vehicles and choosing music.
The other will be a few days later and will be part of the 38th Annual Grand Irish Party festivities. The day will begin with the AOH Grand Marshall Breakfast. The parade will start staging at 10am and will begin at 11. Following the parade will be the AOH Grand Irish Party with food, music and beverages. Promotional Products such as event shirts will be available for purchase and the proceeds will go to next year’s parade.
The 38th Annual Wilkes-Barre St. Patrick’s Day Parade will line up at 1pm at the intersection of South Main and South Streets in the Public Square and begin its march through the downtown area at 2pm on March 11th.
The parade and Irish Party will take place in Pottsville on Saturday, March 17th. The parade will go through downtown Pottsville, and the party will begin at 1:30pm at the Humane Fire Company.
