Edwardsville and Kingston will join forces and present the 11th Pierogi Festival coming in mid-June.
The two-day event will include activities for the children and live entertainment from the Breakaway Band, John Stevens Doubleshot, and Flaxy Morgan on Friday and Tom Slick and the Converted Thunderbolt Greaseslappers, Non Stop Band, Boots and Bangs, and the Blend on Saturday.
Food vendors will be offering not only pierogies but kielbasa, hot dogs, tacos, turkey legs and BBQ. Other goodies for sale will include apple dumplings, ice cream, mini doughnuts, popcorn, cookies. Other vendors will include Candy Queen, Deep Root Hard Cider, Fortunato's, and Matt Hat Jerky. Some non-food vendors will be Mia Bella Candles, Christine's Soap Box, Knit Wit's, Olde Country Jewelry, and Scentsy.
A Pierogi Festival parade will take place on Friday beginning at 11:00 am followed by the Pierogi Cookoff at 2:00 pm.
Sponsorships may be purchased for the vendor area, event promotion materials and event marketing, entertainment, safety and insurance measures and children's activities including prizes.
The Pierogi Festival theme song "The Dream I'm Livin" sung by John Stevens can be purchased at the johnstevenspolka.com store.
Bands like this often go to local Print shops and have them create logo or graphic design to put on their fan merchandise.
The 2025 Edwardsville Pierogi Festival will take place June 13th from noon to 10:00 pm and June 14th from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm at John Hopkins Memorial Park on High Street.
