Kingston children to see Disney on Ice

Kingston families will get to enjoy Disney on Ice: Into the Magic, coming for four days to the area in early January.

At the beginning of the performance, the ice floor becomes a vast oceanic landscape to take the audience on a Polynesian adventure with Moana as she goes on a quest to save her island. Next, Pixar’s Coco’s Miguel will skate across the Marigold Bridge into the Land of the Dead, where he will encounter dancing skeletons celebrating his cultural heritage.

Belle from Beauty and the Beast will then meet friends at the Beast’s castle and fall in love with the gentle-hearted Beast. Other Disney characters that will take to the ice will include Frozen’s Anna and Elsa, Tangled’s Rapunzel and Flynn, and Cinderella.

Tickets range from $20 standard admission to $80 front row. Doors open an hour before each performance. Little ones under the age of 14 may enjoy wearing costumes.

Pictures taken of costumed little ones either before, after, or during shows like this occasionally go to local Print shops to be made into duplicates for relatives and friends.

Performances will be Thursday, January 6 at 7:00 pm; Friday, January 7 at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm; Saturday, January 8 at 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 7:00 pm; and Sunday, January 9 at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The show will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena, 255 Highland Park Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre.
