The Kingston area will be supporting two local worthwhile fundraisers in the next few weeks.
The first event will be the second annual Mini Golf Classic presented by the Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre. The “All Fore Books” event will take place in the library as the Kingston players choose from an array of brightly colored putters and balls and play mini golf around, through and within the library stacks. Adult tickets will be $10 each and kids’ tickets for the under-12-years-old group will run $5 apiece. All proceeds will go to Osterhout Free Library’s children’s programs.
The second fundraiser will be the Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Spring Fling & Auction. The honorees for the occasion will be Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Hillside Farms The Land’s Suzanne Kapral. This will be a three-hour event. Dinner stations will be available from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. A silent auction will be running at that time. The silent auction will end at 7:15 pm when the live auction starts. A program will begin at 7:30 pm.
Businesses like to sponsor fundraisers such as these as part of their community outreach programs. A list of sponsorships is then added to the business’s brochure printing.
The Mini-Golf “All Fore Books” will take place March 24th from noon until 4 pm at 71 S. Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre.
FSA NEPA Spring Fling & Auction will be April 4th at the Woodlands, 1073 Pennsylvania 315, Wilkes-Barre.
