The Northeast Pennsylvania Chamber Music Society will present a benefit concert in a few days
Proceeds from the concert will go to NEPACMS to help it continue providing Northeast PA with world-class chamber music.
The program will include the Schumann Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Ch’uqi’s Flit of the Fireflies upon A Summer Rain and Etude, Handel-Halvorsen Passacaglia for Violin and Viola, Kodaly Duo of Violin and Cello, and Dvorak String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat Major.
Performers will be Friends of NEPACMS – Miho Zaitsu, cello; Amy Iwazumi, viola; Jonathan Weverm, violin; John Michael Vaida, violin; and Hwaen Ch’uqi, piano.
Friends of NEPACMS will be playing chamber music in the intimate setting of Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s Hayfield House. After the concert, Kingston guests are invited to stay and converse with the performers and enjoy the ambience of the elegant building.
NEPACMS will also present ‘Balancing Act’ featuring the music of Baljinder Sekhon. Sekhon is known for his innovative compositions for percussion and saxophone. Duo Montagnard will be performing his music. The duo is comprised of Matthew Slotkin, guitar and Joseph Murphy, saxophone.

NEPACMS Benefit Concert will take place at the Hayfield House at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, University Drive, Lehman on Friday, January 11 beginning at 7:00 pm.
Balancing Act will be performed January 19 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Pro Cathedral, 35 Franklin St. Wilkes-Barre starting at 8:00 pm.
