Kingston area finds time for generation-spanning musical

In only a few days’ time, a one-night only performance that features music, dancers, and the stories of love that happen in different decades, will be on show just a few minutes away from Kingston.

Taking place at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, ‘Standard Time’ explores the rawness of emotional human relationships through bold dance movements and music. The promoters might have used poster printing, and perhaps services like flyer printing, to share information about this production with people from throughout the region.

A dance musical, ‘Standard Time’ is performed by Mark Stuart Dance Theatre and has Broadway in its sites. The tale follows three, period-specific love stories, one of which is set during the period of the Civil Rights movement, another is during the Great Depression, and the third focuses on today’s wider acceptance of same-sex relationships. It features music from the present day, the 1960s, and the 1930s, with the help of a five-piece orchestra and a team of 14 dancers.

Ticket prices for this production vary depending on seating selection. ‘Standard Time’ will be on stage on Friday, May 23, starting at 8:00 pm at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. To purchase tickets, or to find out more about the production, visit the venue’s website or call the box office at 570-826-1100.
