The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA here in the Kingston area will be taking on its annual walk in mid-May.
The walk will take participants on a two-mile jaunt around Forty Fort. Team awards will go to the team that raises the most money, shows the best team spirit, and Forms the largest group.
Attendees are invited to stick around after the walk to enjoy music presented by a local DJ, tour the facility, and shop at the Mother's Day Flower Sale and Vendor Fair.
This walk is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, and proceeds will go to the center's free services to caregivers and cancer clients.
Registration will be $25 and will begin at 8:30 am at the event, followed by an opening ceremony at 9:00 am. The walk will start after the ceremony at 9:30 am.
Sponsorships are available for $100 and $250, and honor ribbons may be purchased for $10. The ribbons will be displayed on the walk and may be decorated with names of loved ones. Supporters of charity events like this often get some flyer printing ordered beforehand at local Print shops.
A free kick-off party will be at the Cancer Wellness Center the night before the walk, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Friday, May 9. Guests can enjoy a live DJ, family-friendly activities, food, and a basket raffle.
The Cancer Wellness Center Annual Walk will take place at 190 Welles Street, Suite 166, Forty Fort on Saturday, May 10.
