Festive events in the works in Kingston

Kingston will be getting into the holiday spirit with a Christmas movie, dinner, and craft fair.

Irving Berlin's musical White Christmas will be playing at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse beginning Sunday, November 30.

This Christmas classic movie musical harkens back to after WWII when two veterans, Bob Wallace (played by Bing Crosby) and his war buddy Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) team up with two singing sisters (Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen) to rescue their army commander's ski lodge in Vermont.

Evening performances will include a meal beginning at 6:30 pm followed by the movie at 8:00 pm. On Sundays, the meal will begin at 1:00 pm and the curtain will go up at 3:00 pm.

Irving Berlin's White Christmas the Musical will be shown on November 30 and December 1, then from December 5 to 8, and December 12 to 15 at the Music Box Theater, 196 Hughes Street, Swoyersville.

Admission will be free at the Holly Trolley Christmas Craft Fair, where local vendors will be selling Christmas merchandise. The trolley will be available for selfies and Santa will be taking Christmas gift requests. Anthony Jace will provide the entertainment.
