Everyone in Kingston will want to get outdoors and celebrate spring by attending the upcoming Cherry Blossom Festivals.
For those who do not mind a little drive and want to enjoy a family friendly event, the weeklong Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of greater Philadelphia will offer a collection of Japanese-related festivities under the blossoming trees. This event will have demonstrations, dance, food, and entertainment that will include both contemporary and traditional Japanese culture, and is sure to be promoted with flyer printing.
The main event of the week will be Sakura Sunday, which a day of performances and an art and crafts fair at the Fairmount Park’s Horticultural Center. Other events during the week will be a Cherry Blossom 5K, a silent auction, and Japanese Culture Week.
Kingston will have its very own celebration. If this one will be anything like the past few years, thousands of people are expected to turn out to enjoy the live music at the park’s stage. Kids will get to enjoy rides, and food vendors will be selling all the usual treats. Local artisans will be offering their handmade arts and crafts for sale.
Those interested in this local celebration will want to clear some space this weekend, from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. It will take place in Kirby Park, 280 Market Street, Kingston. Fairmount Park Horticulture Center is located at 100 N. Horticultural Drive, Philadelphia.
