Families to chill at movie event

This month, families in Wilkes-Barr and nearby Kingston will not have to look far for some free holiday fun.

The F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts will be hosting an afternoon viewing of the Disney sensation ‘Frozen’. Families with kids under 12 years of age are invited to attend. Along with the movie viewing, attendees will be treated to free popcorn and either juice or water. In addition, kids will be given a complimentary crayon and coloring set.

For the past six years, the law firm Hourigan, Kluger and Quinn, has sponsored a free movie for the holidays. No doubt the business has asked a Print company to make digital Business Cards with the law firm’s contact information to have on hand at the event.

‘Frozen’ is an award-winning animated feature about a girl who goes on a journey to find her sister and help save her kingdom from an eternal winter. The movie is rated PG and has a run-time of 102 minutes.

Seating for the event is limited to the first 1,800 people. In addition, adults need to accompany all children.

On December 20, doors to the F.M. Kirby will open at 12:30 pm for the event. Entertainment, including a sing-along and a juggler, will begin at 1:30 pm and the movie will be shown at 2:00 pm. The F.M. Kirby Center can be found on 71 Public Square.
