The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Kentucky Derby Gala on Kentucky Derby Day in early October. Proceeds from the evening will go to the local Family YMCA.
Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will begin at 5:30 pm and the Kentucky Derby will be livestreamed at 6:50 pm. After the race, there will be dinner and dancing. Music will be provided by Brass & Ivory. Tickets will be $150 each.
During the evening there will be a silent auction and a raffle with the first prize of a trip to the Kentucky Derby next year or the winner can choose any other trip valued at $5000. Each raffle ticket will be $20 and a group of six can be purchased for $100.
Seven of the nine sponsorship levels ranging from $500 to $20,000 are still available. Each sponsor level includes the company’s Logo Design and name put on the YMCA’s social networks, website and event signage. The number of event tickets increases from none at the $500 Trifecta level to twenty tickets at the $20,000 Presenting Sponsor level.

The Kentucky Derby Gala will be Friday, October 2nd from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm at the Westmoreland Club, 59 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre.
