Kingston families and friends can mark their Calendars for Fall Fest, which will be coming in a few days.
Lucerne Bank will be the presenting sponsor for The Land at Hillside Farms’ Fall Festival 2017. This will be a chance to get outdoors and enjoy the weather before winter sets in. Over 6,000 guests are expected to attend the two-day event.
Kids can get their faces painted, paint pumpkins and go to the kids’ area for games. They can also ride ponies and experience a real wagon ride. Families can visit the farm animals and tour the barn.
Local food vendors will be selling fall-type goodies such as candy apples and cider. Local craftspeople will be displaying and selling their one-of-a-kind creations. Local businesses will have their vendors selling locally sourced, produced, and created items. Some will be promoting their services and selling their products.
The 24th Connecticut Militia Regiment will be setting up a Revolutionary War Encampment and giving demonstrations. The venue is a nonprofit, educational historic farm. This event will be its major fundraiser for the year.
The Fall Fest will be from Saturday, September 30 through Sunday, October 1 at the Lands at Hillside Farms, 65 Hillside Road, Shavertown. Hours will be Saturday from noon until 6:00 pm and Sunday from noon to 5:00 pm.
