Next month, the Cranberry CUP Softball Tournament is set to take place in Cranberry Township as an action-packed community fundraiser.
Cathay Cortazzo founded the Cranberry CUP in 2000 as a way to raise funds for families in need. The Cranberry CUP hosts events including the 2022 softball tournament as a way for locals to have fun and socialize while raising money for those in need through ticket sales and sponsorships.
Cranberry Township players will be competing in two days of softball games for the Cranberry CUP trophy. Both competitors and audience members are welcome to attend the event. When preparing for tournaments, the organizers of such events often use methods such as flyer printing to provide players and attendees with printouts that outline pertinent details.
Three divisions are available, including the Neighborhood Division, Bracket A, and Bracket B. Brackets A and B are two divisions for teams with different playing preferences. Bracket A is intended for teams that wish to compete seriously, and bracket B is suited for players who would rather play a more casual game. Registration costs $25 per player for each of the three sign-up options.
The 2022 Cranberry CUP Softball Tournament will be hosted at the Cranberry Township Community Park between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7.
