Independent romance Author Carol Schoenig will be visiting the Cranberry Township Library this March. She will be speaking about her latest book, 'The Caretaker'.
Schoenig is a grandmother to five grandchildren and the mother of two sons. She is retired from her career in human resources, but she still continues to work part-time. Her hobbies include sewing, reading, and singing in a church choir. She also loves romance stories and Hallmark movies.
Of her particular style of romance, which she calls 'Boomer Lit', she has this to say. Most of the romance that she has read involves younger people and almost never involves the elderly. She knows that those in their 60's and 70's are still capable of experiencing problems with their love lives. They are also capable of hoping for a soulmate that they can connect with. She wants to tell those stories.
The book 'The Caretaker' tells the story of a middle-aged woman named Phae Carson. Recently-widowed from an abusive husband, she embraces her independence and jumps at a job opportunity as a villa caretaker. There she meets the man Finn Callaha and falls in love with him.
This event will take place on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 6:30 pm. The Cranberry Public Library is located at 2525 Rochester Road. Authors such as Carol Schoenig may be interested in Graphic Design Services to create the covers of Books.
