Marketing exec helps Cranberry burger restaurant expand

Residents of Cranberry Township have enjoyed a high-end take on American classics at Burgerz 'n' Dogz on Freedom Road for years, but they will now be able to indulge in a local favorite away from home as well.

With the help of a former tech industry marketing expert, the franchise has now opened up locations in South Park and Grove City, as well as a new Cranberry location inside the Freedom Shopping Center.

Bob McFarland, a sales and marketing services executive with over 20 years' experience, struck up a profitable friendship with Burgerz 'n' Dogz owner Doug Baros in 2016. He went on to become an investor in the nascent franchise.

Burgerz 'n' Dogz, or BnD'z as the Logo Design would have it, has recently launched a major marketing campaign to advertise the new location and the brand more generally. In small towns like Cranberry, low-tech advertising tools like Banners, Flyers and promotional Drinkware can be just as important as the newer media with which McFarland has experience.

Baros says that he started Burgerz 'n' Dogz to offer American classics "without that first bite guilt." In contrast to fast food, the restaurant offers fresh ingredients and customized burgers made in front of the customer in an open-plan kitchen.

More information about the diner can be found on its website.
