Cultures of the world at Cranberry Township festival

Cuisine and entertainment from around the globe will be represented at CranFest, an annual festival in Cranberry Township.

It is presented by the township’s inclusion, diversity, equity, and advisory (IDEA) team under the Parks and Recreation umbrella as a celebration of the different cultures in and around the community.

IDEA accepts applications from food and product vendors, as well as song and dance performers who wish to participate in the one-day festival.

In organizing the event, the team strives to include representations from as many different cultures as possible without duplicates. As such, participant applications are reviewed in the order they are received.

Past festivals have included over a dozen food vendors featuring Thai, Indian, Greek, Caribbean, and other world foods. Festival attendees also had the opportunity to visit cultural information booths and see a range of performers, such as Irish dancers, taekwondo enthusiasts, Bulgarian musicians, and Chinese drummers.

Local businesses can contribute to the festival by becoming a sponsor. Those who support events such as this often require professional Logo Design to promote their products or services.

Cranfest will be held at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Saturday, April 12 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The festival is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Interested cultural groups, performers, and food vendors can complete festival applications online.
