Cranberry Township to host community running event

This summer, the Cranberry Community Chase 5k and Kids Fun Run is set to take place in Cranberry Township.

Children ages 6 to 15 can participate in the Kids’ Fun Run, which will be a 100-yard dash. Registration for kids is priced at $15 per person. Adults who wish to run or walk the 5K can sign up for $25 each. Online registration is available until the end of the day prior to the race. The first 150 people to register for the event will receive a themed racing T-shirt.

The winners of each age group in the race will be awarded medals.

Other perks that runners will have access to include a race bib and timing chip, and a goody bag. After the event, participants will be provided some food and water. Optionally, runners can stop at the Jaycee Shelter in the Cranberry Township Community Park to enjoy the Lion’s Cub All-You-Can-Eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast. When promoting racing events, the organizers regularly turn to flyer printing to make sure anyone in the community who is interested in the event can read printouts that outline race details and rules.

Event proceeds will support the Cranberry Township Community Chest (CTCC) Project of the Year.

The 2022 Cranberry Community Chase 5k event will be hosted on Saturday, July 16 starting at 8:30 am.
