The annual fall flower show is continuing at the Phipps Conservatory until the start of next month. This year's theme is The Poetry of Nature.
The flower of the year is the chrysanthemum, and there will be displays throughout the conservatory with different themes in rooms such as the Sunken Room, the Victoria Room, and Palm Court. Visitors will also be able to learn about the 13 classifications of chrysanthemums.
The Phipps Conservatory is open daily from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Tickets are $19.95 for adults, $17.95 for seniors and students, and $11.95 for those between the ages of 2 and 18. Tickets have specific timed entrances and visitors must wear a mask.
Next week, the annual gala fundraiser for the conservatory will be taking place. This is a virtual event. Ticket holders will receive a pairings box for two with wine, dessert, and other treats which will be delivered by courier. They will also be given a link to attend the virtual event, which will feature musical performers such as The Buckle Downs, the Pittsburgh Opera, and Living Street. Tickets are $250 each and must be reserved before October 29.
Flyer printing companies frequently provide marketing materials for events held in Cranberry Township and the Pittsburgh area.
The Poetry of Nature will be on display until Sunday, November 1, while the gala fundraiser will take place on Thursday, October 29, beginning at 7:30 PM. For information about either event, call 412-622-6914.
