Annual golf tournament helps local schools

The annual Gift of Hope Golf Classic tournament is taking place next month in Cranberry Township. It is a fundraising event for the Seneca Valley Foundation.

Fees for the golf tournament are $180 per player or $720 for a foursome. It includes golf play, lunch, a cocktail reception, a buffet dinner and awards presentations. Players can also compete in a skills competition, a putting contest and a hole-in-one contest for extra prizes.

Sponsorships are available for $1,500 up to $10,000. Sponsors will be recognized with various signage on the course, at dinner and at lunch. Advertisements can also be purchased for the event program that all players will receive; they are available for $125 for a half-page and $250 for a full-page.

The Seneca Valley Foundation helps to raise funds for the Seneca Valley School District. Funds help to improve literacy in the elementary schools and provide the resources for STEM activities for older students.

Golf is an excellent networking opportunity for Cranberry Township business leaders; there is always time to discuss business on the golf course. Many of those attending will likely be placing a new business card printing order with their favorite printing company before attending.

The golf tournament will be held at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course on August 8 beginning at 7:30 AM. To learn more about the tournament or about the Seneca Valley Foundation, contact Linda Andreassi at 724-452-6040 x1612.
