Annual festival celebrates all things Italian

The annual Little Italy Days festival is taking place next month for four days.

The festival is held on Liberty Avenue in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh from Ella to Grass Streets. It was originally planned for last month.

There will be plenty of activities for the entire family, including musical entertainment, children's entertainers, vendors, food and drink. Some of this year's musical performers will include Jeff Jimmerson and The Granti Brothers. The Miss Little Italy pageant will also be taking place. There are three categories of competition; princess, ages 4 to 7; junior, 8 to 11; and senior, 12 to 17. Winners receive a crown, sash, and trophy. The entry fee is $25. To learn more, call 724-671-7100.

Another fun event will be bocce ball. There will be a celebrity bocce challenge with local well-known personalities and a tournament that will take place over two days. The fee for the tournament is $150 per team, and more information is available by calling 412-600-5702.

This event will likely attract visitors from all around the area, including nearby Cranberry Township. Flyer printing companies are often asked to provide printed advertising to spread the word.

The festival will be held on Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh from October 8 to 11. Admission is free of charge. For the most up-to-date information about this event, visit the official website.
