Theater in Media to hold fall acting classes

The Media Theatre will be resuming acting classes in the fall.

Poster printing is usually called upon when such classes are held to inform residents of dates, costs, and other pertinent details.

There are two levels of classes for children. The first one is for children between the ages of five and seven, and focuses on partnering exercises, stage direction, diction and volume, and creating scenes. There will be several learning and acting exercises as well. This class will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturdays.

The Level 2 class is for children between the ages of eight and ten, or those who have more experience on the stage. It focuses and builds upon the core values of the first level class. This is on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Both classes last 10 weeks.

There are two classes for older children. One is for those between the ages of 10 and 12, building upon previous knowledge of acting and focusing on creating scenes and working with other actors. This class is from 5:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesdays.

The other class is for teenagers and enables participants to work with a partner, perform a monologue, try improvisation, and create scenes. This class is on Sundays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and lasts eight weeks.

Classes will begin the second week of September.
