Philadelphia business pros to patch up their HR

The Philadelphia Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Symposium will be held in Philadelphia in late March. It will help to educate business leaders in the latest human resources techniques and practices. It also provides 6.5 Business Management and Strategy HRCI Credits for those who need them.

The symposium will feature a keynote speech from Jamie Naughton of the website Zappos, whose topic will be ‘Building a brand that matters’. There will also be various sessions throughout the day under the headings of ‘Engaging the workplace’, ‘Managing the change’, ‘Measuring the value’ and ‘Leading the talent’.

Business leaders from throughout the area, including nearby locations like Media, will likely be attending the symposium to learn the latest trends in HR. No doubt organizers consult local printing companies to prepare the program guide, which will be given to everyone who attends.

Sponsorships are available from $500 to $7,500. Sponsors can donate items for the goody Bags that those attending the symposium will receive, can have their company name and/or logo printed on the Bags, and have a tabletop exhibit where they can showcase their products. Companies can also purchase advertisements in the program guide.

The Philadelphia SHRM Symposium will take place at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on March 22 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets are $325 for Philadelphia SHRM members, $350 for SHRM members, and $375 for non-members. Tickets for the keynote address only are $150 each.
