October is a month of festivals in Media

The city of Media will be the location of two very different festivals, one of which is a fundraiser.

The first event is set to be the 36th annual Media Food and Crafts Festival. It is hosted by the Media Business Authority.

It will feature restaurants from Media and surrounding areas that will provide samples of their food. Local stores will have their merchandise on display and likely offer special deals on the day. In addition, arts and crafts vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of handmade, unique items like jewelry, clothing, paintings, and ceramics.

Later on in the month, the School and Family Festival will be raising funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Presented by the Mom’s Club of Media, there will be a costume contest, vendors, and pumpkin painting. Children will have the opportunity to trick or treat at the vendors’ booths. There will also be lots of giveaways and food for purchase.

Both of these events will likely be advertised in Media through items such as Flyers and Posters.

The Media Food and Crafts Festival will take place on State Street on October 2 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or on the rain date of October 9. Call 610-566-5039 to learn more.
