Media to raise a smile with Happiness Week

Happiness Week is coming up this May in Media, and there are going to be a range of events that should appeal to everyone.

The first event is the Hometown Jubilee. It will consist of the Happy Neighbors Walk from Media Providence Friends School to Providence Friends Meeting House. Once there, there will be a potluck lunch buffet (visitors are encouraged to bring a side dish), music, outdoor games, and crafts. There will also be childcare services.

Other events planned for the week include a spring nature walk with Gary Stolz at the Glen Providence Park and the Happy Street dance party at Veterans Square. The last event of the week will be a talk about hydroponic gardening, the Happy Fair, music from Allison DeSalvao, information from conservation groups, and a seed and plant swap and sale with proceeds going to Transition Town Media. Various children's activities will keep smiles on the little ones’ faces too.

No doubt some of the groups on hand will be providing printed material to those who stop by their booths. Media Print companies may be asked to provide items such as Flyers or Brochures.

Happiness Week is being held in Media from May 2 to 9. The spring nature walk is taking place on May 3, and the Happy Street dance party will be on May 8. For more information, visit the Transition Town Media's website.
