Media makes its way onto prestigious towns list

Media, Pennsylvania was recently mentioned in a list on Philadelphia Magazine for being one of the 10 hottest suburban Philadelphia towns.

The magazine mentioned several aspects of the blossoming town, such as the new restaurants that have opened in it and the new plans for a mall and upscale apartments downtown.

In the past year, Media has opened no fewer than five new restaurants and has hosted a number of art walks and holiday celebrations. The new plans for the upscale apartment building, which will be located on State Street, will create 162 new apartments for the area. Granite Run Mall, a previously defunct building in Media, will be heavily renovated and redesigned by BET Investments to bring retailers and entertainment to Media. BET Investments also plans on building an additional 400 apartments near the new businesses.

Zubair Khan, who is a member of the Media Business Authority, an organization that seeks to support the local business community by helping them economically, as well as by providing simple services such as rehabilitating signage like Banners, said about Media:
“We don’t have to advertise anymore, because the restaurants are full. We draw patrons from a 10-to-20-mile radius.”
