Construction is underway at the Main Line Health facility of Riddle Hospital in Media. The project, which is expected to cost $327 million to modernize the campus, will include renovations to existing support areas and care units, as well a new patient pavilion.
There will be two phases to the project. The first phase will include the construction of the new pavilion, which will be five stories high and span 230,000 square feet. Among its features will be a suite for operating with three procedure rooms and 10 operating rooms; laboratory and radiology services; 76 special treatment private patient rooms; and an atrium café and cafeteria. During the second phase, the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital will be renovated.
When the project has concluded, all the patient rooms will be private, facilities will be contemporary, and there will be advanced technology to support the changing needs of the community. Such projects often look to printing services to create materials that highlight the features and benefits to be offered.
Wawa and the Wawa Foundation has been a generous benefactor of the hospital since 1963, and has pledged $2.2 million towards this project.
The first phase is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023 and the second phase to be completed during the summer of 2024.
