Cub Scout Troop #76 from Media recently were guests of the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum.
A tour of the museum was given to over 30 scouts and their parents, who also had the opportunity to see artifacts and exhibits from World War II and the new Vietnam War Exhibit.
The group was welcomed by the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, Bill Lovejoy. He informed his guests that the goal of the museum is to honor all those who served in the military to oppose tyranny, defend this country, and maintain the liberty and traditions that have long been the foundation of this country.
He added that the museum exhibits history that may have been written by family members and members of the community. Veterans are people like everyone else and they leave their homes to serve the interests of this nation, to demonstrate their patriotism.
Jeff Gelman, leader of the scout troop, said that not only did the boys and their families enjoy the outing but they seemed to learn a great deal as well. Brochure printing companies can be used by museums such as this one so guests have additional information they can take away with them after such special visits.
The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum is located in Media and opened to the public Thursday through Sunday afternoons.
